What is Film Blocking?:
- This is a technique used by filmmakers to make scenes more exiting.
- It is where you place your actors in the frame.
- A good way to plan blocking is with a storyboard, think about what the characters are saying, and then incorporate that into your composition.

3 visual elements a director should think about while blocking a scene:
- Space
Visual contrast is used in this scene to portray tension and importance.

2. Shapes
There are three basic shapes, all of these shapes have their own emotional meanings and assumptions.
- Circles can make the audience feel safe and inclusive.
- Squares create limited space, and can used to box someone in.
- Triangles are sharp, and can feel aggressive.

3. Lines
Be aware of the lines created in every shot, and the effect they have on the viewer.

Other things that link to blocking that can enhance a scene:
- Subtext
- Contrast- by contrasting your blocking with what has been said or done, you create an underlying meaning.
By considering these components, you will be able to block a scene between any subjects in a visually dynamic way, containing loads of subtext.
